Everyone is using a gas stove everyday.Everyone can use it simply, but not everyone knows everything about gas stoves.Some minor glitches often occur because parts are not installed properly or areused improperly. 1, what is the off flame and off fire? At normal gas stove burning, the speed of gasleaving the fire hole and burning speed will be in a stable combustion state.But when the speed of gas jet from the fire hole is greater than the combustionspeed, then the flame is in a quivering state. This phenomenon is called off-flame. If the speed of gas injection from the firehole continues to increase, the flame will continue to move up, burning in anunstable state, or even completely extinguished, a phenomenon known as off-fire. The hidden dangers from off-flame oroff-fire is that these unburned gas leak in the room, causing a large number oftoxic gases or explosive gases in the air, which are easily lead to accidents.In order to prevent this from happening, gas stoves are usually equipped withflame stabilizers.
Causes and solutions:
①When off-flame or off-fire appears, it is likely because thethrottle is opened too large. Adjust then throttle of the gas stove on the back. ② When the gas pressure is too large may also cause such problem,therefore, if using liquefied gas, you need to ask the LPG professionals to adjustthe valve to reduce the pressure, if using natural gas, you can try to turn thegas switch to reduce gas pressure.
③Once the kitchen air flow is too fast, this problem will likely occur,because the exhaust is too fast. In this case just close the doors and windowsproperly, and set the exhaust hood to lower speed.
④ It is also possible that the fire cover and the fire cover seat donot cooperate well (or deformed). If there is any deformation, by replacing thefire cover and the fire cover seat the problem can be eliminated. At the sametime, some fire covers and fires lid seat assembled with a positioning hole,you must align the positioning hole.
2, what is tempering?
When gas is blown away from the fire holeat a speed less than the rate of combustion, the flame will collapse into theinterior of the fire hole, causing the mixture to combust in the burner,disrupting the primary air injection and creating an incomplete combustion. Thisis known as tempering .
When tempering occurs in the combustion, atempering noise first appears, and then the burning in the pipeline near thenozzle will continue to generate noise. If close the valve suddenly , as theflame extinguishes temper noise can occur. Coke oven gas is more likely toproduce tempering noise than natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas.
Causes and solutions:
①Air damper is opened too large, causing a large aircoefficient, which easily to cause tempering. In this case by adjusting the airbaffle the problem can be ruled out.
② Gas source pipeline, pressure valve, or burnernozzle is blocked by waste, carbon black or other substances, or gas pressureis insufficient, all these will reduce gas outflow speed resulting in tempering.You can clean up the dirt, or recharge the gas to eliminate the problem.
③Sometimes, due to the nozzle is not correct or the nozzleaperture eccentric, the gas jet is obstructed causing tempering. In this case,you should correct the gas nozzle center line or replace the nozzle.
④ There is also a case of gas combustion time is too long, theinjection tube and the nozzle temperature is too high, which accelerate theburning rate and cause tempering. Turn off the gas, let the injection tube andthe nozzle cool down and then re- ignite.
3, What is the yellow flame?
Normal gas burning flame was light blue.When the air is not enough, the hydrocarbons decompose to form solid carbonparticles under high temperature and anaerobic conditions, and disperse in thegas like a fog. When they are burned, the carbon particles will show a brightyellowish flame, sometimes red yellow, known as the yellow flame. When thishappens, it seems that the burning of fire seems very hot, in fact, it is weak,and with low thermal efficiency. It causes carbon to the bottom of the pot ,and also air pollution.
Causes and solutions:
① The first situation is due to the opening of the stove valve is toolarge, causing excessive gas, but lack of air. You can increase the throttleopening, increase the inlet area, the flame will change from yellow to blue.
②There is rust or debris in the gas tube, which affect the leadpower and causing yellow flame. Disassemble the ejector to remove the dirt, andthen install the burner, you can eliminate the yellow flame.
③Nozzle and lead tube are not in the same line. Burner positionshould be adjusted so that the two centers on the same axis.
